This project was a collaborative effort to design and launch a platform for discovering local community service opportunities. The team consisted of 3 SDSU students who worked on the project for 1 year and 5 months. We created a working product but chose to abandon the project after little traction from the community.
Our website enabled organizations to manage and publicize their volunteer events.
Create an event, specifiying date, time, location and description.
Refine and confirm location using google maps API. GPS coordinates were allowed for unaddressed locations.
Manage and view all upcoming events. View statistics for past events.
The mobile application (IOS and Android) allowed users to connect with their community.
Search events by filter.
Register to events to receive updates and waivers.
Seemlessly track volunteer hours.
